Yellow Cat forges another link in that old chain of life.

Every winter we feed the birds out in the back. There’s times when there’ll be 25 mourning doves and 6000 tiny, and pretty quick birds eating their hearts out. The squirrels do all right as well. We provide a heated bird-bath for drinking water. So all in all it’s a pretty good place to be a bird in Winter.

Then there are times we look out and the place is quiet as a graveyard. Nothing moves. We then know it's time to look up into the walnut tree and see who’s passing through. Well today our visitor didn’t seem to mind having her picture taken. She came down after a bit and basked in the sunshine. She sat motionless for a long time.
In a eye blink the picture changed.

As long as nothing bigger comes along to get her I guess it’s ok
